Strategic Partnership Programme (SPP)
Strategic Partnership Programme (SPP) is a esd grant from Department of Trade, Industry and Competition offering up to R 45 000 000 for businesses at any stage across South Africa. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Overview
This grant is applied for by large corporates and industry associations, not by SMEs directly - but if you are a small supplier (especially 51 percent black-owned) to a big manufacturer, your customer can use SPP to co-fund your machinery, infrastructure, product development and business support. The partner applies online via the dtic website; SMEs should raise SPP with the enterprise and supplier development teams of their corporate customers.
Programme details last verified on 12 June 2026.
