- Do I need to be on the CSD to do government work?
- Yes. The Central Supplier Database is National Treasury's single register of government suppliers, and an organ of state must verify that a bidder is registered before awarding a contract. A business that is not on the CSD is disqualified regardless of price, B-BBEE score, or CIDB grading.
- What is a MAAA number?
- The unique supplier reference number the CSD issues once your registration is verified. It is asked for on Standard Bidding Document forms, on quote requests, and on purchase orders.
- CSD registration is free, so what am I paying for?
