Frequently asked questions

When is my CIPC annual return due?
Within 30 business days of your company's anniversary date, which is the date it was incorporated. It is a rolling deadline unique to your company, not a fixed date on the calendar, and penalties start accruing the day after that window closes.
What happens if I do not file my CIPC annual return?
Penalties accumulate, and if you miss returns in consecutive years CIPC begins deregistration. A deregistered company loses its legal standing, which in practice means losing contracts, banking, and any tender eligibility until it is restored.
Do I have to file a beneficial ownership declaration?
Yes. Beneficial ownership declaration is mandatory for companies and close corporations, and since 1 July 2024 CIPC will not process an annual return at all unless the beneficial ownership register is current. This is why an on-time filer can still be blocked at submission. We file beneficial ownership as part of this service.
Is the CIPC fee included in the price?
Yes, the standard CIPC fee for a private company is included. This is an agent filing service: we prepare and lodge with CIPC using the information you provide, and it is not legal, audit, or company-secretarial advice.
How long does it take?
Handled by our team and delivered to your email within 72 hours of payment. CIPC's own processing times can occasionally extend beyond our control.

Please note

This is an agent filing service: we prepare and lodge with CIPC on your behalf using the information you provide. It is not legal, audit, or company-secretarial advice. Processing times at CIPC itself can occasionally extend beyond our control.
